Fran Vives was born in the U.S.A. from a Chilean marriage. He began his musical journey at the age of 12 next to a vertical Piano at his parent's house. At the age of 16, he learned how to play rhythms on his younger brother´s (Fernando Vives) toy drum kit, and later got a real drum set and began his first band "Insigne" (Progressive Rock) as a drummer. He studies Composition and Musical Arrangements at Escuela Moderna Institute of Chile (2002-2008). At the age of 23, he travels to the USA for a year and studies Afro Beat rhythms with Senegalese master guru. Back in Chile, he becomes a member of many different bands such as Uruz, Tréboles, Avioneta, The Zulus, Armando Jarana,and Zebra 93. At this time he develops a great interest in Synthesizers and sounds. In 2010 he creates "Armando Jarana" Music Production Company with more than 200 live shows. He also gigs as a secessionist for bands like the Tiro de Gracia and Glup, among others. Currently, Fran Lives in California USA and works as a Music Producer, Composer, instructor, and Live/Studio keyboardist musician.
